Bike Spokes UK is part of True Wheels UK. True Wheels was created in 2011 cementing the alliance between its two key figures (Ant and Rich) and their longstanding activity in both the cycling industry and cycle sport. We supply hand built wheels which come with a guarantee of quality in build and componentry and with the assurance of an after sales service. The personal experiences and qualities which have led us to this business are outlined below.

Building Wheels:

Rich has worked in cycle retail for over 30 years and is known locally to many for the outstanding quality of his hand built wheels. As a para-athlete he won a World’s road race silver medal for Britain and holds many, still standing, tandem records from the British time trial scene. Superpower: builds almost invincible wheels.

Doing Everything Else:

Ant is part of the British Cycling Coach Education team delivering training to would be cycle coaches on behalf of the NGB. He is a Level 3 track coach and was Sussex Coach of the Year in 2008. He has been a race and cycle event promoter for over 25 years and in 1999 he helped establish Preston Park Youth Cycle Club [PPYCC]; one of the first British Cycling Go Ride clubs in the nation. In 1996 he was one of the two originators of the iconic South Downs Way Randonnee and more recently has become a supporter and source of knowledge on battery assisted transport. Superpower: faster than sound advice always given.

Preston Park, Brighton:

Both are based at Preston Park in Brighton the home to the UK’s oldest velodrome. Between us we have experience of a wide remit within the sport including having raced track, road, time-trial, cross and mtb and enjoyed touring and utilitarian cycling.
